Working as a pastry chef didn’t satisfy Mathew’s entrepreneurial personality. He always had his eyes fixed on property and with family connections to the industry, a move from the kitchen to real estate in 2002 was destined.
It was a perfect fit and Mathew was a natural having started out selling acreage in Bannockburn and Lara “quickly working my way up to Melbourne” moving into Body Corporate/Owners Corporation Management. In the city, he accrued a broad range of real estate experience including working with developers, shopping centre management and serviced apartments which extended nationally as far as Darwin.
When Mathew joined Beller in 2016, he brought to the company demonstrated strengths in managing people and their expectations, along with the ability and skills to deal with major projects.
He is a masterly communicator, seeing it as a strength that can eliminate problems before they happen. “I like making sure there is harmony amongst all, keeping communication flowing” he says.
Not surprisingly, Mathew is a keen foodie and describes himself as a passionate Geelong Cats fan.
